Showtek brothers Wouter and Sjoerd Janssen are called world dominators, selling out big shows on all continents. Rising up in the DJ Magazine top 100 since their entrance in 2010 and taking numerous awards on the HDA. DJ Magazine even compared them with The Prodigy within their range of style.
Showtek have experienced a meteoric rise to fame in the last years. Their distinct production, world acclaimed albums, award winnings and mind blowing performances have gained them recognition as global ambassadors for the dance world.
They released their first artist album 'Today is Tomorrow' in 2007, a masterpiece that became a rapid worldwide success. Since this exploding launch to fame Showtek have been unstoppable; Year after year they received awards on their tracks and performances, they became the first act within their style to record at BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix and Showtek's massive 'Raver' even got featured on the soundtrack of the international blockbuster 'Bruno', the Sacha Baron Cohen movie.
The second award winning album: 'Analogue Players in a Digital World' was unveiled in 2009 at the prestigious 'Amsterdam Dance Event' (ADE) in collaboration with organization 'Art of Dance' again showcasing their ability to cross boundaries and crossing genres in a way the scene has never experienced before. In 2011 they spend a lot of time in the studio co-produce the "Kiss from the Past" album with Tiësto on the illustrious Allure project.
To top all of this off, Showtek sold out solo events for thousands of diehard fans from every corner of the globe, from Asia (2500 people), Australia (both Melbourne & Sydney over 5000 people), Europe and Holland (over 6,000) and even the USA, with their appearance in Los Angeles at the Hollywood Palladium being a 5000 capacity sell out. In summer 2010 and 2011, Showtek hosted their very own arena at one of the world’s leading festivals, Dance Valley in Amsterdam. In Billboard Magazine they were being rated as one of the top 10 highlights of Electric Daisy Carnival June 2011 giving away a memorable closing set before approximately 100.000 visitors, and the same summer they performed at Full on Ferry Ibiza also B2B with Ferry himself. In 2012 numbers came out that they are ranked #17 in the Top 20 of music export products of The Netherlands in 2010.
